Beyond the Square II is part of an ongoing series that explores the square as a language of color, material, and perception.

Cool blues and grays frame the composition, gradually giving way to vibrant greens, yellows, oranges, and reds. The shifting bands of color create a visual rhythm that draws the eye toward a warm, luminous center, suggesting movement, expansion, and transformation.

Inspired by Josef Albers’ exploration of color interaction, I move beyond paint by working with reclaimed architectural laminate samples. Each fragment is individually selected and arranged, allowing differences in color, texture, and surface to become active elements of the composition.

Through my REPOP ART® process, materials once created for architectural use are transformed into a new visual experience where sustainability, abstraction, and perception come together. Although each work in the series shares the same dimensions and geometric language, every piece develops its own rhythm and chromatic identity.
