Beyond the Square III is part of an ongoing series that explores the square as a language of color, material, and perception.

Inspired by Josef Albers' investigation of color interaction, I move beyond paint by working with reclaimed architectural laminate samples. Each fragment is individually selected and carefully placed, allowing color, texture, and shadow to become active elements of the composition.

Every material once served a practical purpose in architecture. Through my REPOP ART® process, these discarded samples are transformed into a new visual experience where sustainability, craftsmanship, and contemporary abstraction converge.

The raised elements create ever-changing shadows as light shifts throughout the day, inviting viewers to experience the artwork from different perspectives. Rather than depicting an image, Beyond the Square III encourages contemplation of balance, rhythm, depth, and the endless possibilities contained within a simple square.
