Medium: Reclaimed architectural material samples on wood panel
Inspired by Alejandro Otero’s Tablones series, Retablón III explores vertical rhythm, color, and movement through layers of reclaimed architectural materials. Strips of wood, flooring, laminate, and rubber samples rise at different heights, creating shifting shadows and revealing new relationships as the viewer changes position.
The composition moves between order and spontaneity: warm wood tones meet industrial grays, while accents of red, green, and blue bring energy to its narrow architectural form. Through Lilimarq’s REPOP ART process, materials once destined to be discarded are transformed into a sculptural dialogue between Venezuelan abstraction, contemporary design, and sustainability.
