Soto Rectangular is part of the series Homenaje al Humano, inspired by Venezuelan artist Jesús Rafael Soto and his explorations of movement, vibration, and perception.
Reclaimed wood samples in tones ranging from light to dark are arranged in a rhythmic geometric composition. Fine lines, precisely engraved into each wooden surface, create a subtle optical vibration, while the elevated rectangles cast shifting shadows that transform as light and the viewer’s position change.
The composition rests on a reclaimed carpet sample and is framed with repurposed wooden Venetian blinds. Through the language of REPOP ART®, discarded architectural materials are given new rhythm, dimension, and life.
